Birth to Five Initiative
Supporting Families from Birth to Age Five
The Birth to Five Initiative supports families from pregnancy through age five by providing access to resources, developmental screenings, and meaningful community connections.
We believe learning begins at birth, and families are a child’s first and most important teachers. Our goal is to partner with families early to support healthy development and school readiness.
Through the Birth to Five Initiative, we offer:
- Developmental screenings for children ages birth to five
- Connections to community services and supports
Developmental Screenings
Developmental screenings provide families with a snapshot of their child’s growth in areas such as:
- Communication and language
- Motor development
- Social-emotional skills
- Problem-solving and early learning skills
Screenings are play-based, family-friendly, and designed to identify strengths as well as areas where additional support may be helpful. If a concern is identified, our team will guide families through next steps.Screenings are offered throughout the year. If you are interested in scheduling a screening for your child, please fill out this online form and we will call you to schedule an appointment.
